The history of iPhone starts with Steve Jobs, who announced iPhone on 9th January of 2007 at the Macworld convention. The first iPhone was released on in the same year on 29th June. This was the beginning of the smartphone called iPhone. Then first-generation iPhone or iPhone 2G has quite an impact on the market. The product was sold over one million pieces in 74 days. The phone came with 2 different models, 4GB and 8GB. On March 2008 they released a 16GB version, which allowed the developer to create more apps. That time iPhone was running on an operating system called OS X but the original main operating system as iPhone OS 1. The phone had a 3.5inch display with the resolution of 320×480 pixels. The rare camera was 2.0MP and the phone weighs around 135g.
In 2008 on July 11th Apple released another iPhone and it was iPhone 3G. There were two options for this phone, 8GB, and 16GB. The iPhone OS 2.0 was the running operating system at that time and it was upgradeable to OS3.0. The manufacture of the 2nd gen iPhone was Foxconn. This phone was sold more than 1 million units in the first weekend. The phone had 128MB DRAM. 3.5inch display, 2MP camera, and weighted around133g.
In 2009 on June 19 the 3rd generation iPhone, iPhone 3GS was launched. The S after G was stood for its speed. The weighted around 135g with the 3.5inch display. The build in the storage of this device was 8GB, 16Gb and 32 Gb. The phone also had 256MB DRAM and 3Mp camera on its back.
Then in 2010 on June 24 the iPhone 4 was released. This phone introduced apple’s HD Retina display, which was 3.5 inch at that time. This phone weighted around 137g and was running on iOS 4.0. This phone had 512 MB RAM with storage of 8GB, 16GB, and 32Gb of flash memory. This phone also had a 0.3MP front camera.
On the October 14th of 2014 the 5th generation iPhone, iPhone 4s was released. This phone was sold 3M units over first 3 days. The phone weighs around 140g and original OS was iOS 5.0. The phone has a dual-core A5 chip and 512 MB Ram inside. The phone came with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage capacity. In back, the phone has 8MP camera and in front, it has a 3.5inch display with 0.3MP.
The 6th generation iPhone was released on 21 Sep 2012. This phone came with iOS 6. This phone has 1Gb ram and 64, 32 or 16gb of storage. This phone has 4inch display, 8MP rare camera, and I.2MP front camera
On September 2013 7th generation iPhone 5s has released with 16, 32 and 64GB storage. It runs on iOS7. In front, it has a 1.2MP camera and on the back, it has an 8MP camera. The display with this phone is 4inch and the battery was 1560mAh.
iPhone 6 was released on September 19, 2014. This phone was sold over 10 in in the first weekend. The phone has 16, 32, 64 and 128GB storage. Battery life of this phone was better than any of its previous version. The phone has a 4.7inch display and 1Gb ram. It has camera 8MP on back and 1.2 in front. After that on September 25, 2015, iPhone 6s was released with same capacity of storage, 2GB ram, 12MP rare camera, the 5MP front came and 4.7display.
On September 16 of 2016, iPhone 7 was released, with iOS 10. This phone has 32, 128,256Gb storage, 4.7inch display, 12MP camera in back and 7MP in front and no headphone jack. Now in this year, iPhone has launched their new devices iPhone 8, 8 plus an iPhone X with new face detection technology.
